Little girl who died Tuesday daughter of Danvers firefighter

DANVERS — The 18-month-old Danvers girl who died suddenly Tuesday evening after being found unresponsive at her babysitter’s home has been identified as Kayla Rose Caron.

Kayla’s obituary was posted on the website of C.R. Lyons and Sons Funeral Directors Thursday afternoon. A funeral Mass will be held on Oct. 16, 9 a.m., in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St.

Authorities are still investigating the death, but they say all early indications are that the girl died from a medical issue as she napped in a crib at a home on Fellows Street.

Born April 13, 2016, Kayla was the “cherished daughter” of James Caron, a Danvers firefighter, and Danielle DeLisio of Danvers, the obituary states. The couple live next door to the home where the little girl was being watched Tuesday by a babysitter, a check of town property records shows.
