Recall Central: Steering Issue in Chevy Captiva, Cadillac SRX Tranny Problem

A number of Cadillac SRX crossovers are being recalled for transmission issues. A customer informed General Motors that his SRX suffered from “unintended vehicle motion” when shifting the transmission from “park” to “drive” and back. Vehicles sold in China and the United States are included in the recall. Affected vehicles were built at GM’s Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

The Problem: Affected vehicles have a transmission cable that is not properly aligned in the engine compartment. The cable will not shift gears properly causing unintended vehicle motions.

The Fix: GM is recalling and inspected affected vehicles in China and the United States. Customers should call GM customer service for questions or concerns.
