RICHMOND – State inspection stickers will no longer be placed in the bottom center of vehicle windows because of technological advances, state police announced Wednesday.
Beginning on New Year’s Day, state inspection stickers will be placed in the bottom left corner of the windshield on the driver’s side.
The change in location will also apply to the placement of any other authorized stickers, Virginia State Police said. No changes were made to the size or appearance of the existing vehicle inspection sticker.
State police said the relocation was needed because automobile manufacturers now offer crash avoidance technology in many of their vehicles, and the new technology utilizes the center
