Love is the central theme in “Almost, Maine,” the fall play set for Nov. 3 through 5 at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
The play by John Cariani will be presented by the Music and Theatre Department in the Cecilian Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music.
“Almost, Maine” is comprised of nine vignettes and depicts themes of love and loss in a small town.
On a cold Friday night in the middle of winter, fueled by the energy of the aurora borealis, residents of the fictional town, Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love. The characters experience happiness, heartbreak and the perils of romance. In 2004, it premiered in Portland, Maine, where it broke box office records and garnered critical acclaim.
