Cadillac’s SRX may be a little long-in-the-tooth, but its age certainly isn’t affecting the level of safety it continues to offer customers. The luxury crossover SUV, which is due for replacement in 2016, recently earned a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration – the highest rating the NHTSA awards – for both two- and four-wheel-drive models.
The SRX also earned five stars from the Administration for its side crash protection, though the Cadillac crossover only managed four stars for front crash protection and rollover protection.
Available now, the 2015 Cadillac SRX comes with an array of standard safety features, such as StabiliTrak stability control, anti-lock brakes, and OnStar Automatic Crash Response, which can send help your way in the event of an accident.
The SRX is also available with advanced safety features that can alert the driver of an impending collision and even apply the brakes

Chevrolet has announced that the 2017 Silverado 3500HD features a new air intake system that drives cool, dry air into the engine for sustained performance and cooler engine temperatures during difficult driving conditions. The patented intake system underwent extensive testing based on the most challenging real-world driving conditions to ensure competence and performance no matter the weather.
The new air intake system is marked by a dramatic hood scoop. Essentially an inlet at the front of the hood, the scoop provides 60 percent of the air to the Duramax diesel engine.
The air provided to the engine is very close to the outside ambient temperature and much cooler than the air under the hood. Cooler air helps the engine run better under load, especially in conditions where engine and transmission temperatures can rise quickly. Running cooler allows the Duramax diesel to maintain full

We can hardly wait to get our hands on the incoming Cadillac CT6 sedan, which seems set to replace the slow selling, front-wheel-drive-based XTS. While it’s tough to make a case to keep the soon-to-be-irrelevant Epsilon II-based sedan, we are sure to miss its available twin-turbo 3.6L LF3 V6 in the XTS Vsport model, which is good for a heady 410 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.
Thankfully, the folks at Preownedengines.com have realized its potential and now you can buy your own used LF3 engine through them, without having to break the bank on a used XTS. (Yes, you can still find the LF3 in the Cadillac CTS Vsport in longitudinal form, but that’ll cost you even more.)
Introduced in 2013, the transverse 60-degree six-cylinder can easily fit into any Epsilon II-based vehicle, like a ninth or tenth-gen Chevrolet Impala or Buick LaCrosse, and you can likely

Since its launch roughly four years ago, the second-generation SRX has turned out to be a decent seller for Cadillac. For the 2015 model year, the midsize crossover is getting a few minor updates and changes, starting with the deletion of Black Ice Metallic and Glacier Blue Metallic exterior colors. Taking their place are two new hues — Cocoa Bronze Metallic and Glacier Blue Metallic.

In a puzzling move to strip away advanced lighting technology, the 2015 SRX also does away with two lighting features — the headlamp washer system as well as the auto headlamp leveling adjustment feature that was part of the adaptive forward lighting system. However, OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot

Foreign automakers continued to rule the 2017 J.D. Power Dependability Study, but General Motors managed to sneak two brands into the top 10 list, according to The Detroit Free Press.
Buick, which has made huge strides in reliability, landed at fourth place in the 2017 round of the study. Chevrolet, meanwhile, placed eighth. The study looks at owners’ experiences with new vehicles over a three-year period.
Buick owners reported 126 problems per 100 vehicles, just trailing behind Toyota, in which owners reported 123 problems per 100 vehicles. Chevrolet owners reported 142 problems per 100 vehicles, edging ahead of Honda (143 per 100) and trailing BMW (139 per 100). Both GM brands also beat the industry average of 156 problems reported per 100 vehicles.
Most issues stemmed from some sort of technology, with the

An Oregon woman who made national headlines in 2010 for marrying at least 14 U.S. servicemen and stealing their money is back in the spotlight with a new beau and new allegations.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Bobbi Ann and Zackerie House are wanted for writing a series of bad checks in Oregon, Colorado and Oklahoma.
Bobbi Ann House, 39, was dubbed the “Military Mistress” in connection with a 2011 fraud conviction. Then known as Bobbi Ann Finley, she was sentenced to three years in an Alabama prison after pleading guilty to theft by deception, according to ABC News.
ABC News correspondent Chris Cuomo assembled nine of House’s former husbands for an interview in 2010. Ex-spouse Ben Giles described her as “a domestic terrorist” who targeted and destroyed the lives of military members.
According to Marion County authorities, Bobbi Ann House and her latest husband opened a Wells Fargo checking

GM is recalling 3.6 million vehicles because a software glitch might prevent airbags from inflating in a crash.
The carmaker said a component that controls airbag deployment contains defective software that could prevent airbags from working “in certain rare circumstances.”
The company said it would contact owners of affected vehicles, and that dealers would update the software for free.
Affected vehicles include:
- 2014-2016 model year Buick LaCrosse and Chevrolet SS and Spark EV
- 2014-2017 model year Chevrolet Corvette, Trax, Caprice PPV and Silverado 1500; Buick Encore; and GMC Sierra 1500
- 2015-2017 model year Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado HD; GMC Yukon, Yukon XL and Sierra HD; and Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV
