A woman famous for marrying 15 servicemen and wanted in Oregon for check fraud turned up Tuesday morning in Alabama, officials said.
Bobbi Ann House and her latest husband, Zackerie House, were stopped by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office in southern Alabama about 9:45 a.m. Officials there said the Houses were living in a vehicle with a dog.
The officials seized the vehicle, which was listed as stolen, but released the couple because the pair hadn’t been charged with crimes in that jurisdiction.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon has probable cause to arrest the Houses for theft by deception and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, both felonies.
The couple wrote $13,500 in insufficiently funded checks in March, officials said. Their purchases began on the Oregon coast, but by March 30 they had made their way to Oklahoma, where they
