A 26-year-old New Port Richey woman charged in a Thursday
carjacking involving an elderly woman now faces charges in a similar attack in Clearwater.
Clearwater Police announced Friday morning that Amber Rae Arnesen was a
suspect in a Thursday strong-arm robbery at Whole Foods, 27001 U.S. 19 N. In
that case, a 71-year-old woman was getting into her car around 3:30 p.m. when
she was pushed and had her purse stolen. A struggle between the victim and
attacker ensued and the attacker’s shirt was ripped, police wrote in an email
to media. The suspect in that case happened to flee the scene in a Cadillac that was driven by a man.
A Cadillac Deville was stolen Thursday morning from a Publix
in Port Richey. In that case, an 83-year-old woman was carjacked.
Arnesen was brought into custody on charges related to the
carjacking early Friday morning.
