Argument led to fatal shooting between brothers

A dispute over Michael Jimenez’s loyalty during his brother’s recent incarceration led to Jimenez’s shooting death last month, a witness testified Wednesday.

Rahsohn Perry, 32, faces murder and gun charges in connection with the Nov. 8 shooting of his brother, Jimenez, 39. 54A District Court Judge Hugh Clarke Jr. determined at a preliminary hearing that there is enough evidence to send Perry to trial for his brother’s death.

The early morning shooting occurred at Lansing resident Chris Hugger’s home in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard after what Hugger described as a homecoming party gone wrong. Hugger said it was his gun that Perry used to shoot Jimenez.

Jimenez and Perry have the same mother but different fathers.
